In 1990, General Electric was searching for a partner in Europe to manufacture and apply a wear-resistant coating to their products (polycarbonate sheets). The company Eurogard was founded for this purpose and production began. With the knowledge and experience gained, Eurogard expands the product range to other products such as car windows. Various takeovers and expansions follow, including the latest one where Techniplas acquired Nanogate Netherlands B.V.
