A little history
In 1990, General Electric was searching for a partner in Europe to manufacture and apply a wear-resistant coating to their products (polycarbonate sheets). The company Eurogard was founded for this purpose and production began. With the knowledge and experience gained, Eurogard expands the product range to other products such as car windows. Various takeovers and expansions follow, including the latest one where Techniplas acquired Nanogate Netherlands B.V.
1980
Company developed a process for coating plastic substrates.
1991
50/50 joint venture between with GE, founding of GE Eurogard.
1992
Start of fully-automated coating of polycarbonate sheets.
1997
McLead Russel c acquires GE Eurgard. As of this date, the company becomes "Eurogard".
2004
Sold to SPX Air Filtration.
2008
SPX Air Filtration sold to Riverside (investment company).
2011
Nanogate AG (German-based) acquires Eurogard.
2016
Name changed to Nanogate Eurogard Systems B.V.
2019
Name changed in Nanogate Netherlands B.V.
2021
Techniplas acquires Nanogate Netherlands B.V.
